AYDREA WALDEN (Creator, Writer, Producer) - As a reporter in Washington State, Aydrea Walden dodged razor wire while marching through a booby-trapped cornfield to cover the then-largest drug bust in the state’s history, awkwardly helped a police officer negotiate a standoff, and stood next to one of the most notorious serial killers in the country, hoping that he didn’t get free and come after her next. Eventually, she learned she could still write amazing stories, but without all the life-threatening situations, so she started writing scripts instead of scandalous local news and moved to Los Angeles. Since moving to LA, Aydrea has written for Nickelodeon, Hawaii Film Partners, Highlander Films, the Now Write! Screenwriting Book Series, MACRO Ventures, Makers Studios, and Disney.
Aydrea is a Moth StorySLAM winner and in 2015, she opened her satirical one-woman show, The Oreo Experience: A Total Whitey Trapped in a Black Chick’s Body, based on the blog of the same name, which has been featured on Good.is and Jezebel.com.
SHAYNA COHEN (Director) is a Jewish filmmaker from St. Louis, Missouri. Shayna fell in love with movies at the age of ten when her father snuck her into a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Shayna attended American University for her undergraduate degree where she focused on documentary filmmaking. Her documentary work was largely influenced by the 2008 presidential election and local subcultures. Shayna attended Chapman University’s graduate Film Production program with an emphasis in Directing, and won a Student DGA award in November 2014 for her thesis film Gefilte Fish. In 2015, Shayna wrote and directed the Sid Ganis produced short film A Children's Song. A Children's Song has since become the most awarded US-Sino-produced short film ever.
Shayna is honored to have been part of the "Black Girl in a Big Dress" team. Directing this web series has been an incredible experience jam-packed with creative collaboration, relevance, and hilarity. Here's to season 2!
FARISAI BRUCE KAMBARAMI (Director of Photography) - Originally from Zimbabwe, Farisai once wanted to be a geophysicist. Luckily for the BLACK GIRL IN A BIG DRESS crew, he switched his focus to the entertainment industry and studied Radio, TV, Film in New York before getting his MFA in Cinematography from Chapman University.
He has recently wrapped work on Ava DuVerney's A WRINKLE IN TIME, is currently working on the second season of INSECURE and loves cricket, the NY Mets and Giants and Brazil.

LARUEN DOBBINS-WEBB (Garden Party Guest) - Lauren Dobbins Webb is from Atlanta and knows that sugar does not belong in cornbread. After graduating from Macalester College and studying at the Moscow Art Theatre School, Lauren toured the US and Canada with Missoula Children’s Theatre, enriching children’s lives and rocking a bear suit. Here in LA, she originated the role of Lisa in Theatre of NOTE’s world premiere of Hearts Like Fists by Adam Szymkowicz. Other favorite projects include Arthur Miller's All My Sons, indie horror flick 11/11/11 with The Asylum, and writing and directing short film Missed Connection, which screened at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival. She is an alum of Improv Olympic and Stephen Book. Lauren is currently recurring on Disney XD’s “Walk The Prank.”

MATTHEW HARRIS (Sean) is a LA based Actor and comedian. He has performed at UCB Los Angeles, The Comedy Store, Flappers, San Francisco Sketchfest, LA Comedy Festival, been a guest in various amazing comedy shows such as, The Lonley Island, Black History at UCB, Past My Bedtime with Topher Harless, and is a member of Improv Olympic West award winning sketch teams Dead Honkey, and mainstage sketch show Top Story! Weekly 8 years running.
He has also appeared on Network Television shows such as Brooklyn Nine Nine (Fox), Heart Of Dixie (CW), The Thundermans (Nickelodeon), and Life in Pieces (CBS).
POLINA PAVLOVSKY HERRERA (Stills Photographer) - Polina has always been interested in film and photography. Her father used to take photos with an old film camera and develop them in the bathroom in a makeshift dark room and was exposed to the art form at an early age.While attending Film School in Cal State Northridge, she developed a deeper understanding and appreciation for this medium through photography and film classes. In addition to photographing special events and engagements,
Polina runs her photography business, Polina Herrera PHotography and focusing on special family moments such as engagements, maternity, and newborn photography.
JULIE INMON (Coworker) - Julie Inmon is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory program in Los Angeles. She recently filmed the feature "Big Bear Weekend" (currently in post-production) and is developing her own digital series, title TBD.
KARA JOHNSON (Sound Mixer) - Kara is a filmmaker and musician from Raleigh, NC. She strives to entertain any and everyone who's looking for something new and exciting to pass the time. She has worked with a variety of companies, such as Vanity Fair, WIRED, GQ, Vogue, E!, Funny or Die, OWN, CryptTV, and Film Independent. She is the director of the Luke & Jedi documentary, coming 2017. She is also releasing her debut EP "Stories" in April 2017.
BRITT KAYE (Makeup) - Britt Kaye is a makeup artist and hairstylist based in the Los Angeles area. She is a licensed cosmetologist and has obtained certifications in both makeup and hair. Education is her top priority and she takes the time to continue her education in the beauty industry whenever possible. Britt Kaye's work ethic and attention to creative detail set her apart from the pack. She is currently enrolled and participating in Makeup Mastered 2017. Brittany has experience in wedding, special effects, film, commercial, TV, fashion, runway, retail, and salon environments, working with both makeup and hair. She has worked with the 2015 Academy Awards, LA Fashion Week, Wella Professionals, KTLA news Los Angeles, Metropolitan Fashion Week, and celebrity cast.
JOE MANENTE (Simon) is a stand-up comic, actor and Second City alumni. You can see him at comedy festivals around the country or at the Fourth Wall comedy studio in NoHo which he owns and operates 7 nights a week.
MARK MULGREW (Stills Photographer) - Mark Mulgrew has more than 30 years experience in the Animation Industry and a career that has spanned both television and features animation work. Born and raised in Australia, Mark started as an Inbetweener before moving up the ranks to Animator, Concept Artist, Storyboard Artist, Layout Artist, and Previz Artist.
He has a well-rounded knowledge of the Animation Industry that has allowed him to take on many other challenges and delve into other artforms. Photography, sculpture, and sketching have become his passions along with a curiously non-artistic interest in World History.
RYAN MURRAY (Lord Fitzhugh/David) –a California native & graduate of NYU-Tisch, has just finished a run of the acclaimed production 'Recorded In Hollywood' at the Kirk Douglas Theatre here in Los Angeles!! Bouncing from coast to coast & stage to screen, he has just finished filming 2 Shorts; 'Incubator' & 'The Bride.' No stranger to song & dance, Ryan also recently had the extreme pleasure of playing Bing Crosby in Swinging On A Star at Riverside Theatre in sunny Vero Beach FL.
Favorite credits include: the INfamous Broadway-bound production of Lone Star Love, which blazed headlines for its “unruly Hollywood celebrity!” Off B’way:Masquerade at The Cherry Lane & 1 man show King of the Mountain. Ryan also appeared as Tom on Guiding Light for 2.5 yrs., or you may recognize him as the face of Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million fragrance.

Some favorite stage roles include Shakespeare’s Desdemona, Viola, Helena, Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, and a one year ensemble member of the weekly sketch show, Second City This Week.
She can currently be seen with her improv team, Big Boss, as a 7 year cast member in The Really Awesome Improv Show, in her Instagram series Eye On The Globe, or the monthly podcast The Best Medicine. LYNN STEIN (Party Guest) - Lynn Stein is a stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she draws humor from her Irish Catholic upbringing. Her satirical slant on marriage, motherhood and societal norms resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Currently you can find Lynn performing in venues all over Los Angeles including dive bars, record stores, drag shows, Jewish deli’s and once in a used maternity clothes store.
She is a regular at Flappers Comedy Club, The Ice House and The Comedy Store.She was recently featured on Laughs on Fox and has appeared at the SheDot Festival in Toronto, Sonoma Laughfest and the 2017 San Diego Comedy Festival.Now please stop reading Lynn’s bio. TIFFANY THOMAS (Liz) - An Emmy Award-Winning producer and show developer with over a decade of experience beginning as a Production Coordinator with Fifth Gear Entertainment. Handpicked to work with famed producer, Carl Craig from “Hollywood Shuffle”, “I’m Going To Get You Sucka” and “Mo Money”, to be his Personal Assistant. Her first venture as a Producer was for Defending the Homeland, which came with the honor of an Emmy Award. Tiffany went on to produce several PSA's for local non profits and has pitched many television shows to We Network, Tv One and BET. Theatre has also provided fulfilling work as an Associate Producer for "Gruesome Playground Injuries" at the Hudson Theater, as well as "Hillary & Monica" directed by famed director Joel Zwick.
